Rose Scott





Rose Scott was born in Singleton on the 8th of October 1847 and died on the 20th of April 1925. Rose Scott's job was a feminist, law reformer, womens activist and womens suffragist. She contributed to Australian democracy by expanding womens material options beyond marriage and prostitution. She also prized womens mobility and independence. In 1921 she gave 50 pounds to the university of Sydney for a prize for women law students.
