Australian Citizenship Pledge

I think the Australian Citizenship Pledge means that:
l the immigrant shall obey the law of Australia.I will not protest or disobey the law and l will not disrespect other peoples Religion and to respect people and all of Australia.

  2. This pleage means that the imagrete will respect others and be loyal to the law and the Australian flag. Then after the ceramoney the imagete gets a certificet and then is a full Austrailan.

  3. Personally, I think that the Australian Citizen Pledge means that to become a citizen of Australia you must belive in God ... :)

  4. Well I think the pledge is important for the non Australians to resite because it meens they are now a part of the Australian community.

  7. Hi all, lots to comment on here. Blake and Amelia: I instead of i. Check spelling of immigrant. Do you really think people need to convert? If so, to what religion?

    Joseph, watch how you spell believe. It is true, but there is more to it than that. Your statement came from noticing the two options which was very observant, but I need more information. I think you mean become not come.

    Harry, you need to correct some spelling. I didn't ask what happened, merely for your interpretaton of the quote.

    Lauren, You can choose to not mention God if you check the site I linked you too.. so that is not correct. How do you spell believe?

  8. Isobel, check your spelling of recite and means. I agree with you, but I don't think that answers the question I posed.

    Jordan and Georgia: What a great start! I was thrilled with your first comment and thought it perfect, but then.... God.... if you had followed the link to the site, you would see that you can choose to recite the pledge without the word God in it... There are a lot of different religions in Australia...
